The title of this blog comes from a Gaelic expression -"putting on the poor mouth"-which means to exaggerate the direness of one's situation in order to gain time or favour from creditors.

200,000
Someone from Miami became the 200,000th visitor to the Poor Mouth. Haste ye back! There's fresh drivel each and every day (except when there isn't of course)
I'm sorry I missed out on that honour Jams. That is pretty impressive, I thought I was doing brilliantly with my 50,000th which will be this week sometime but you have put me in my place. Congratulations, Sir.

Aww thanks Liz. The vast majority of my traffic comes from searches but it's nice to know I'm appreciated!
I only have 100,00 hits! Which I don't care that much about until I see some people that get that many in a day and my competitve edge rises up.
