The title of this blog comes from a Gaelic expression -"putting on the poor mouth"-which means to exaggerate the direness of one's situation in order to gain time or favour from creditors.

WW - goslings
This week's entry for the Tuesday and Wednesday editions of Wordless Wednesday.
Those guys' cousins were in our back yard yesterday, eating the worms from the little river made by the rains. It wasn't deep enough for them to swim, mostly they stayed on the banks and stuck their beaks in the water. There was no sleeping or cuddling either. ..
Oh Jams, those are just the cutest things I have seen in ages. That first picture is a fantastic shot, the colors, the clarity, the reflection in the water. Wonderful.
We have a local airport with a surrounding pond where people go and feed the ducks, swans, and geese. The little airport restaurant suspiciously enough features cooked goose, and roasted duck as their specials pretty often.

Canada Geese are evil. Every NYC resident has a desire to cook one because they make a mess of our parks.
Oddly for some reason you will never see Turkeys and Canada Geese in the same area. The Turkeys drive them out
and are not as messy.
AWWWW!!! What sweet pictures!
Oh wow!! I love Canada geese, and these little ones are just too cute. Thanks for these photos.
Whoof!! So cute I won't even try to chase 'em... besides, I'm too smart to upset their parent geese. Bark!
The little ones are really cute. Great shots.
