The title of this blog comes from a Gaelic expression -"putting on the poor mouth"-which means to exaggerate the direness of one's situation in order to gain time or favour from creditors.

Not to miss the couple of blurred actions spots !! Looks like a busy time of the day at the Station !
Wow that is an impressive picture!! there is so much going on there... and for some reason the B&W makes it feel more real, more 'raw' - don't know if that makes sense? I like it though!!
Hey Jams, it sure doesn't look very crowded. I wonder how much worse it gets during rush hours?
Congratulations on the 200,000th reader! I'm only sitting at 31,000+ although I did have my 1000th post a few days ago. This is on my main blog. http://jimmiehov.blogspot.com/
Cat pee, I did a post on that. It gets quite a few hits. Find it on a lessor blog, http://jimmiehov8.blogspot.com/2008/01/her-cat-pees-on-furniture-reader-is.html
Hi Jams, my Wednesday Version of WW will be up later, just a little peek under your Kilt. I used your photos today and have had some good responses to them. Thank you so much from across the pond. Congrats on 200K, wow, you are a superstar.
Great shot! Love the added movement through the blurry spots. I recently took one in our main train station...it could be my next ww :) Happy Wednesday!
It was busy at Liverpool Street Station when you took that photo. I like the way you took the shot, very creative! The black/white makes it even more impressive.
Haha Chris.. happy memories and a cab to Hornchurch too?
Right blue, The shot was taken at a 2 second exposure. Luckily I didnt need a tripod as I could place it safely on top of a huge advertising scren hanging from a balcony

Wonderfully wordless within the welkin.
cool catch for WW! Hope to see you at my cornertoo
It looks like Union Station in LA with a concourse.
I can not see a news stand in the picture.
You have captured the intensity of the station. Everyone's going somewhere with no time to waste! I feel pulled forward into the picture.
busy station... nice touch with the photo :D black and white
Mine in here Thanks
Happy WW and have a great rest of the week! My entry on the Paranormal Blog is also from the Liverpool area.

Very atmospheric, that.

This is wonderful picture. Just like in the movies.
Shoshana
Is this the English version of Grand Central Station?
Great clear crisp b/w. You must have used a tri-pod to get this great effect!
Thanks everyone. Glad you liked this week's entry!

Interesting photo, it really shows movement, and the action of being inside a busy building. Thank you for visiting!

I live in West Palm Beach, maybe I was #200,000.
Thanks everyone
Haha Jimmy, sometimes the mind boggles at the searches that bring people to our blogs!
It could have been you Sarge. I really liked the way you used the Battle of Britain memorial photos. It was a beautiful post
jams, I love b&w shots! What time of day? Not rush hour I presume... :D
It was just after 10am Mary. Rush hour was well and truly over. I must do another set earlier or later in the day
Many's the time I've ran across there trying to get the last non-stop to Romford....
Great shot...this is different for you:)
love the black and white and all the movement...
Have a great week!
This is a great shot Jams.
My wordless isn't so wordless below the photo, but stop by anyway. See ya there!
nice!! I've never been to a place like that! Must be so hectic.. :D
Happy WW
I don't think I've ever seen Liverpool Street station so uncrowded. I like the black and white effect.
Excellent capture, and wonderfully captured at that. The b&w adds to the storytelling and "live action."
Love it!
wow! Great picture!
Very cool pic! Please help me choose my "about" page photo!
Wonderful shot, love the action in the photo. Black and white is my favorite!
Happy WW!
Lovely B&W picture :)
Awesomeness shot Jams!
Great photo! One can actually feel the hustle and bustle at the station, plus, I love the black and white feel to it.
What a crazy (busy) photo, but I am sure that it has seen busier times...
Cool shot! Ours is up as well at burntofferings and more at bernies fotoblog.
Have a great WW!!
Great shot! Love the added movement through the blurry spots. I recently took one in our main train station...it could be my next ww :)
Happy Wednesday!
How slow was your shutter speed in order to get the blur? It's quite an arty shot.

I love busy trainstation pics! Make me think of travelling and packpacking! :) Great shot!
You've captured the motion! Given the right perspective, we all look like a bunch of worker ants, don't we? Haha!
Great photo. The B&W gives it much more feeling than colour could.
A very active photo! Happy WW!
I got lost in Liverpool Street Station last week! LOL.
Great shot you got there! Thanks for stopping by.
You've really captured the motion and energy of such places. Cool photo.
I love the way you captured the action and movement.
Great shot Jams. They almost look like they are choreographed.
My wordless blog is Carver Cards
It has such wonderful texture in black and white. Great shot.
Happy WW
The B&W just makes the shot!
THanks everyine, Glad you liked this shot.

I like the slightly blurred people, hinting at the hub-bub.
The station is huge! I might visit this place in the future because my hubby is a Liverpool fan and he is planning to visit Liverpool. :)
THanks Julia, thannks ECL. Liverpool St is in London and strangley the trains from the station go nowhere near Liverpool!
from the third world's point of view, it appears like an international airport to me.
I'd love to see train stations like that.
c",) Morning Sniffles
Good Job! :)
