The title of this blog comes from a Gaelic expression -"putting on the poor mouth"-which means to exaggerate the direness of one's situation in order to gain time or favour from creditors.
Top Band, Top Tune. To this day I can't listen to Green and Grey without shedding a silent tear for both the people that this decribed at the time and also the late great Rob Heaton who was responsible for the unplayable intro and some of the technically most able drumming ever. Nice one. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=8sHWd3mqi0M

It's a great song Poons. Rob Heaton is greatly missed. I didn't know he had also been in Hawkwind for a short whikle too
Hawkwind - really - u got a link?
poons (can't be arsed logging in)
It was a short stint in 1983. It was more a case of him filling in rather being a permanent member. But he doe appear on the track Green Finned Demon.
