The title of this blog comes from a Gaelic expression -"putting on the poor mouth"-which means to exaggerate the direness of one's situation in order to gain time or favour from creditors.

Photo Hunt - Rubbish
The theme for this week's Photo Hunt is garbage. This was an easy one given the thoughtlessness of so many people. This rubbish was photographed in Battis Walk near Romford Station
minus the introduction, this photo actually looks interestingly nice... or maybe that's just me and my desensitized eye for garbage... have a great weekend!
See that you translated "garbage" into British English, jams! Re the photo: seems like you turned discarded materials into a photo that's worth more than one glance or even two!
Terrific photo...is it done with the 'fish-eye' setting?
This week's theme will be quite interesting to see what everyone came up with for their photos. Yours, my friend, is excellent actually!!! Mine is posted, come on over to my blog, if you can...
Such a shame. Sometimes I bring along a plastic bag when I'm walking my dogs and pick up trash and recycling by the side of the road. There's always more.
Oh gosh..how thoughtless of people to leave their OPALA (rubbish/garbage around. Excellent entry for this week's PH theme. See you again next week for another PH challenge. Cindy O

That photograph says it all! Happy weekend.
I agree with Carver. How thoughtless, and nasty some people are.
It's a cool looking photo. It reminds me of peacock feathers with some garbage stuck on.
Thanks for visiting mine and have a great weekend!
Great shot Jams!
People can be so thoughtless, but somehow garbageshots like yours still is artful to me and have a meaning.
I love this post.
And thank you so much for your respond on my image - it means much to me!
Have a great weekend!

Actually it might be rubbish but it is a well composed photo. So something good came out of it.
Happy weekend Jams.
Never seen trash photographed as beautifully before.
Happy weekend.
THanks everyone!
You have managed to make the rubbish look nice :-)
And don't we wish garbage was harder to find?!

Lovely shot, even though it is of garbage. It is sad that in this day and age, some people still choose to throw their trash where they should not.
Happy weekend.
GRRRRRRRRRRRR!
I hate finding rubbish in what should be beautiful spot.
Very artsy presented!!
Happy PH and weekend!
Interesting how the Americans and British came up with different words for the same thing - garbage and rubbish.
how thoughtless but great angle of the garbage.
Easy to pick up shots like that.
you are very right. some people can throw rubbish anywhere like that!
That's a lot of rubbish, alright.
This you call garbage? Come on...
Seriously, some people need killing.

I do not like litterbugs! They are very thoughtless.
It's sad that you are so right. It's not hard to find rubbish. I like the way you have treated the shot.
THanks everyone
Nasty rubbish but great photo.
Great shot for the theme. Happy weekend. Mine is up too.
how trashy!
Looks like a modern art photo ! very nice, not so dull as my rubbish bags !
Agreed - and an interesting shot, nonetheless... Mine is a bit more personal, this week.
Very interesting perspective on this shot. Litter is such a lazy crime.

We are a throw away world these days!

Do not know what to write.
PERFECT! (fits the most)

How disgusting. But we can make a difference when we contribute one little good deed at a time :)

Although "one man's trash is said to be another man's treasure, it just can't be said of all trash.
it's just sad that people can be that and doesn't care. nice take on this week's theme.
I can never understand why folks can't hold on to the stuff for a few more minutes until the pass a trash can or recycling bin. GRRRR
Unpleasant subject, excellent photo. Well done Jams.
Thanks everyone
You've still managed to make it look artistic!
