The title of this blog comes from a Gaelic expression -"putting on the poor mouth"-which means to exaggerate the direness of one's situation in order to gain time or favour from creditors.

am now wondering if we are related !!! It is a pity my father is not alive to see the total collapse of the party Dev helped found , not so sure the replacement will be better, just different or perhaps more of the same

My parents were born i the 20s too. Dad has a low opinion of many of the actions taken in the 30s too. As for Dev, he hates him!

You never know. My father is form Cork, my mother from Millstreet. As for FF, they had it coming
