An amazing artist.

definitely no words are needed for this photo.... If one looks closely, one can get the impression as if they are decaying inside....

they look sort of creepy but a lovely sculpture though.

Such beautiful yet vulnerable faces. The oxidation adds to the effect. I wonder if artists see this coming.

Lovely and it somehow made me sad seeing their facial expressions.

There is an incredible expressive quality in these statues. The young man in front in particular seems quite realistic.

It has such a lifelike poignant expression. Amazing. Happy WW

Thanks, Jams! Now I've got to go look up Pere Lachaise. I'm assuming he was a member of a religious order of some such, RC? I see a distinct lack of hope, devoid of emotion other than resignation to what unpleasantness lies ahead. Extremely provoking!
Okay, I'm off to "google." Thanks for making me think. I don't dig deep much any more....
~~~Blessings~~~
Just wanted you to know, that after my very quick peek at the cemetery, I will pursue this further - thanks again, for making me use the ol' noodle.
How sad. They look like siblings mourning a lost parent.
