The title of this blog comes from a Gaelic expression -"putting on the poor mouth"-which means to exaggerate the direness of one's situation in order to gain time or favour from creditors.
Ye Gads... Whisper it... but Dulcinia doth have a rival... Keep that young princess far from me, for she would surely fall for this noble knight and then what would I do?
Sometimes I think you do it on purpose... other times. no... Perhaps it is time for me to "lance the boil" completely. Beware the thud (well, aged trot) of charging hooves behind you.
