The title of this blog comes from a Gaelic expression -"putting on the poor mouth"-which means to exaggerate the direness of one's situation in order to gain time or favour from creditors.
I'm so sorry to hear we lost Shaun. He was thoughtful, honest and good-natured, always ready with a generous comment or a funny quip. I'll miss him greatly. My thoughts are with his family and friends.
I've only just heard and I am so very sorry. I regarded Shaun as a friend and he is a great loss to the blogging world. My thoughts are with his family.

You have captured the action well.
An exceptionally expressive image.
Makes me smile, chuckle and almost cry all at the same time. Photos often do that to me, as captured moments, but this one is special.
RIP Shaun, you will be so missed. Your photos were always so wonderful.
Shaun (Jams) was a great blogging friend and clearly a fine fellow, although we never met. Much missed.

It just won't be the same around here without dear Shaun. :(

It was so very sad to hear the news of Shaun's passing. He will be very much missed by all of us who loved his work and his humour.
My deep condolences to his family.
Crying my heart out...
