The title of this blog comes from a Gaelic expression -"putting on the poor mouth"-which means to exaggerate the direness of one's situation in order to gain time or favour from creditors.

Three Bowie songs
I've got nothing to say and I have no plans to bore anyone with how my Xmas day went (actually very well) so have a few Bowie vids instead...

Glad to hear you had a pleasant Christmas. We spent the day with too many of Stella's family (most of them are just fine). Stella is still visiting with her brother and his family, who are staying in a timeshare about 40 miles north of here; I'm at Stella's apartment, looking after the cats. (The one fish, a betta, died on my watch. Not my fault!)
Anyway, like you, I seem to have nothing much to say this week. I brought my laptop over here in case I felt like blogging... can't do it from Stella's computer... but the sound on the laptop is so awful I don't dare even try to listen to your selections. I'll try again later from a computer with better sound.
Unplugged is excellent. I dont think Nevermind or In Utero sound quite as good now (Bleach was not to my liking at all) but they contain some great songs.
I dare Gareth Gates to butcher it. I don't think eve he can wreck the song (Please do not take up my challenge Gareth, I would hate to be proved wrong!)

Oh it is good, very good indeed. It is one of those songs it is almost imposible to butcher... I hope never to stand corrected on that matter!
