Nelson Mandela bust - South Bank
The bust of Nelson Mandela is tucked away by the side of the South Bank complex. Right now there is building work going on nearby and it happens to be fenced off. Still...
Ahhhh, that explains it, jams. When I first saw the picture I had Sting echoing through my mind singing, "Free, free, set them free. If you love someone, set them free."

Thanks for explaining the bars. I thought some Conservative had made a statement.
I was walking past it yesterday and it just looked as if Mandela was behind bars. It was just one of those photos that presented itself to me

An icon like Mandela needs something better in the world of art like the solid silver bust by artist Billa Dhand.
