The title of this blog comes from a Gaelic expression -"putting on the poor mouth"-which means to exaggerate the direness of one's situation in order to gain time or favour from creditors.

WW - Greensted church
This week's entry for the Tuesday and Wednesday edition of Wordless Wednesday.
Great shot of the church. I think I like the way small churches like that look better than large cathedrals. I guess I like the architecture of many kinds in different ways but I really like small churches even chapels that seem at home in their environment rather than imposing themselves on it. That's a very appealing one.

Interesting church. I would have thought it was a farm house or something if I didn't read.
Happy WW Tues/Wed :)
Crazy for that church.
Very interesting photo. It looks like a house and church combined.
What a beautiful and interesting building.
I agree, it's an interesting building. At the first glance, you would think it's a house.
Happy WW.

Beautiful church! You did some good photo effect on it too.
You were right about my post, the snap was taken after a religious function. I am impressed by your knowledge.

Lovely church, yes it does look like a house, how romantic for a wedding lol.
Beautiful picture! It somehow reminds me of the little chapel that we had in the farm where I lived when I was seven.
Here is my post for today. Another one coming tomorrow! :-)
I like it. The windows and the scalloped entry are very interesting. Look at your lovely blue skies. Enjoy...

What a beautiful church. Is the middle section much older than the rest?

Beautiful photos. I love buildings like this... they seem very romantic to me. Not sure why. I agree with you about Pamplona.
I wonder what kind of Church is that...it's very cozy.
I love seeing the different style church houses. They are always so unique. I also like looking at barns and lighthouses.
Interesting church. I like how the tower and the main building have such different styles.
That's such a pretty building!
Thanks everyone
love that sky!
There's a lot of neighborhoods around here built in the 70's and 80's that look just like that church! Well, minus the steeple thingie anyway.
Ah but not with 1,000 year old wood, I bet!
