The title of this blog comes from a Gaelic expression -"putting on the poor mouth"-which means to exaggerate the direness of one's situation in order to gain time or favour from creditors.

WW - Rodin Sculpture
A somewhat distorted Rodin sculpture (Distorted by me that is!) . This week's entry for the Tuesday and Wednesday edition of Wordless Wednesday.
Hi Jams -- I don't remember this one? If it is in the museum or out in the garden I don't remember it. Does it have a name? Happy WW/WT! Thanks for the visit. ..
i like the effect --- a one-point perspective (i'm not really good in art but it's like when you take a photo of railroad and the image tends to convert at a single point)... and like jientje said, it's art in an art :)...
Oh Jams...this is one excellent distortion! Great job. Fantastic W W as always.
For some reason only known to blogger programmers, the photos aren't showing up today. I posted mine, and I also left links from Photobucket where I posted them as backups.

creatively done, nice one for WW! Mine's up hope you can drop by. Happy WW!
I don't believe I've ever seen this Rodin before -- either in person or as a photo.

The man was an expert at capturing struggle in human flesh. Wow!
Lot of talent there.
Really talented, yes. I love how he painted the background.
That's a wonderful Rodin and I like the distortion. Carver Wordless
Maybe you could nip over to Stanford [or is it Berkely?] they have so many in the grounds it's quite breathtaking.
Cheers

I'm not sure who Rodin is, but this is very interesting. Thanks for stopping by.
I was going to ask why his hands were so HUGE :D

Looks a bit like my old games teacher but shinier!
Hmmm, I'd like to see this in the flesh so to speak.
The sculpture looks so care worn and hungry. I don't think I have seem any Rodin before either, thank you for sharing. Happy tuesday
Oh my gosh. That is the coooolest! Nice and happy WW *big hug*
wonderfully done distortion!
Distorted and he looks like he should appear in a sci fi novel/movie.
Very interesting.
Thanks for stopping by.
Really cool!
Thanks everyone!
Oh weird! Great shot
Wow...interesting. Im speechless. Happy WW.
WOW - That is very cool! Nice work. Happy WW.
Wonderful choice for this week, Jams. Well done.
I don't know who Roden is. Did he have a dog? Arf, bark!!
you distorted it? the background?
anyway, nice photograph.
happy WW!
I think I quite like the distorted version, perhaps more than the original. Rodin was modern for his time, but this is definitely more so.
I love the distortion. Makes it look like a painting. Very cool and interesting photo.
You made a work of art out of a work of art, Jams!
Looks like I feel!
Great work, though. Just quit spying on me, please!
~~~Blessings~~~
Thanks everyone
This fellow is a bit creepy, Jams! Gives me the heebie jeebies.
