The title of this blog comes from a Gaelic expression -"putting on the poor mouth"-which means to exaggerate the direness of one's situation in order to gain time or favour from creditors.
What a great symbol the eagle is!
I see lots of crows everyday because there are so many in my neighbourhood. Bad luck. :(
Looks so mighty and strong.
Great shot! Happy WW.
I'm not a fan of crows myself but this is just a wonderful shot! I wonder how big it is. Hi Jams... am re-joining WW after a long hiatus :) The sky looks cloudy, so is here in Phnom Penh...Sreisaat Adventures
I like this shot of the spread wings against the blue sky. Soaring is such a great feeling, along with its beauty (Dick and I both are pilots, so anything flying has great appeal...)
nice photo. So beautiful in flight.
You captured the bird in all its glory. Great shot.
Oh so majestic!
Can you tell the difference between a crow and a raven.

Crows are too common here. Yours looks majestic! :)

Another good shot by you!Hope you're continuing to improve and get around.
great soaring crow photo. I love the detail you can see on the wings.
Happy WW! Thanx for visiting my entry earlier today. Your photo is remarkable... everytime I see a crow I think about Bruce Lee's son.I invite your blog readers to see a very unusual food fight...peace, Villager
Love both the crow pictures, Jams. Especially the clearly-defined wingtip feathers all spread out.
Aloha Jams!Magnificent picture!!!Happy WW:) to you.Visithttp://upcountrysmiles.comThank you!
Superb capture - look at those wing feathers!
This is really striking, since it is shadowed and there is no need to focus on the eyes/face the wing tips seem to be your point of focus and it is really very cool to see them detailed like this. I can almost imagine it is not an old dull crow!
