The title of this blog comes from a Gaelic expression -"putting on the poor mouth"-which means to exaggerate the direness of one's situation in order to gain time or favour from creditors.
I thought that was a sea-anemone for a sec. I remember the one at my local aquarium shop. It used to wrap itself round the guy's arm when he put his hand in the tank. The clownfish pinged away in horror. Somehow those anemones are fatal to nearly all tropical fish (clownfish being the big exception) yet humans can't feel anything at all from their multiple stinging tendrils...
Did you mean anemone?
We are lucky that the anemone venom does not affect us Gled. that or it can't pierce the skinAh you are right Steve
Is it the shadow of California viper on the left? Or is it my perverted imagination?
Hha it looks like a trouser snake!
