The title of this blog comes from a Gaelic expression -"putting on the poor mouth"-which means to exaggerate the direness of one's situation in order to gain time or favour from creditors.
I can't see the video from my phone, Shaun, but I love this version of this song. When they are both singing the chorus it gives me shivers.
Whoa! I just went outside to the chemist and dropped into the second-hand clothing store next door to it, to look at all the bright colours. I'd only just walked in when the radio announcer said next was a duet with Kate Pearson and Iggy Pop. Aha! And of course the chorus came sending tingles up the sides of my face and causing the hairs in my harms to stand up. Glory, glory.A good example of synchronicity too, but I'm unclear about the relevance. Maybe I'm just to remember that I have a lively spirit under the gloom that is currently upon me...
It's a great song.Kate and Iggy's voices compliment each other nicelyNow that is a fine coincidence. The has good taste in music!
