No words needed
The title of this blog comes from a Gaelic expression -"putting on the poor mouth"-which means to exaggerate the direness of one's situation in order to gain time or favour from creditors.

Oh shit! Another Repubican hopeful creating new words!
I would imagine that Mitt Romney will get the nod eventually as he seems to be bt some way the least obnoxious of the lot (but still pretty obnoxious). On the iother hand the stupider ther republican candidate is the more it seems that the people of USA seem to like them. (This compares to Democrat candidates who seem mainly to be more intelligent but ineffective - Look at what a waste of space Obama has turned out to be).
Perhaps it will finally come down to which candidate can make up the most ridiculous new words. If so them Texan Governor (a maniac and gimlet eyed fundamentalist) has stormed in to a early lead!
Perry has coined the new and quite unnecessary word forewithal. Speaking a=in a recent debate he had this to say when asked:
"How do you prevent the European crisis from becoming a problem on Wall Street?"
"Well, the French and the Germans have the economic forewithal to deal with this, they have the economy," he said, apparently conflating the words "fortitude" and "wherewithal".
Hmm that is one portmanteau the world can do without. Having spent milliseconds thinking about it I have a portmanteau to describe him - BLITHIOT! (blithering and idiot)

Mr Pot and Mr Kettle!
Our Deputy PM does not seem to enjoy being reminded that when he was younger he was convicted of arson himself.... (at around 5 minutes into the interview)
The following is from a Daily Mail article (I know I don't usually source info from that rag but this time....)
Oh, the cactus,' he says, placing his head in his hands for a moment, then rubbing his face. 'I just behaved very, very badly. I was on an exchange in Germany and I drank far, far, far too much. I was a teenager. I lost it, really.'
Lost it? He does seem genuinely agitated. 'What I mean is I was drunk...' Yes, he said that. What on? 'They had this beer brewed in monasteries near Munich. Kloster Andechs. Unbelievably strong. Which clearly I couldn't take.'
Clegg was 16 years old, a public schoolboy abroad. So what happened? 'Yeah... I, erm, I was at a party and I drifted into a greenhouse with a friend, saw it was full of cacti and lit a match to find our way, as there were no lights on. The flame accidentally touched one of the cacti, which glowed rather beautifully.'
Was it an accident, then? He looks at me. Only at first, it seems. 'We did that to a fair number of the cacti. Not really knowing what we'd done.'
I can't help but laugh, at the story and the look on his face, but he objects. He treated this like a joke when, cleverly, he made it public at a fringe meeting in 2007, before the leadership election. He doesn't think it's so funny now. 'No, it's not... I mean, genuinely. It was the leading collection of cacti in Germany.'
The greenhouse belonged to a professor of botany whose life's work had been to gather and nurture exotic specimens from all over the world. 'He'd been to the jungles of Brazil and stuff to find these cacti.'
The boys weren't arrested, because they ran away. 'We didn't know what we were doing. We were teenagers, we'd drunk too much - frankly, we did behave appallingly, irresponsibly, criminally. Next morning, one of the organisers of the exchange rang me up and said, "We know you did this." I came clean.'

If proof was needed that Jeremy Clarkson is an idiot ......
WW Follows
Jeremy Clarkson ate a large dose of humble pie after a ham-fisted attempt to rubbish the furore over the loss of the entire database of child benefit claimants in October (25 million people's personal details on two computer discs was lost in transit between two Government departments) . Wanting to prove that the story was a fuss about nothing, he published details of his Barclays account in the Sun newspaper, including his account number and sort code. He even told people how to find out his address. "All you'll be able to do with them is put money into my account. Not take it out. Honestly, I've never known such a palaver about nothing," he told readers.
But Clarkson admitted he was "wrong" after he discovered a reader had used the details to create a £500 direct debit to the charity Diabetes UK. "I opened my bank statement this morning to find out that someone has set up a direct debit which automatically takes £500 from my account," he said. "I was wrong and I have been punished for my mistake. Contrary to what I said at the time, we must go after the idiots who lost the discs and stick cocktail sticks in their eyes until they beg for mercy."
I’ve always thought Jeremy Clarkson was an arrogant jerk. I’m glad to see that his arrogance got a dent. It’s a shame that it wasn’t a £5,000 donation and to, say, an environmental charity or to the Vegan Society.. Now that would have been a delicious irony

Castro joins the tinfoil hat brigade
In a 4,256-word article read on Cuban television last night (Suddenly sound bites seem a lot more attractive), Castro asserted that the Pentagon was hit by a rocket, not a plane, because no traces were found of its passengers. "Only a projectile could have created the geometrically round orifice created by the alleged airplane," he said. "We were deceived as well as the rest of the planet's inhabitants," he said. This is lie. The remains the crew and passengers of American Airlines flight 77 were found at the Pentagon crash site, and positively identified by DNA.
As for the attacks on the World Trade Centre in New York, Mr Castro wrote that the way the passenger jets crashed into the twin towers on September 11 and the data from the plane's black boxes "do not correspond with the criteria of mathematicians, seismologists, and information and demolition specialists". (err, I have no idea what the hell Castro is saying here).
I have one word to describe Castro and that is “TWAT”. Perhaps he should have ordered the playing of “Hard Rain” so as to give a certain ersatz Mexican an erection....
