The title of this blog comes from a Gaelic expression -"putting on the poor mouth"-which means to exaggerate the direness of one's situation in order to gain time or favour from creditors.

A reminder of Robyn as a kitten
Robyn in 1994. He was never a titch but we never realised how big he would grow. That said he has lost a fair bit of weight over the last couple of years.

Robyn is so distinguished looking, at every age.
Is he eating less, Shaun? Is this why he is losing weight as he is getting older?
He seems to be eating more. I think we will have to take him to the vet. Perhaps his thyroid is overactive
He looks so sweet. Hope he feels better soon.
In general he is good health but he is an old cat so he is probably just being an old cat!
He's adorable
He still is at the ripe old age of 17 Nursie!
Oh, that's a nice portrait; I really like the colours. And how wonderful to have such a lengthy feliine friendship.
It's been good to have this lovely fellow around for so long. He really is a sweet old fellow
