The title of this blog comes from a Gaelic expression -"putting on the poor mouth"-which means to exaggerate the direness of one's situation in order to gain time or favour from creditors.

Rhodochiton Atrosanguineum
Purple Bell vine, a Mexican climber that Shirley grew from seed and planted outdoors. It has only just come into bloom at the end of October. Somehow I doubt it will survive the winter.
