The title of this blog comes from a Gaelic expression -"putting on the poor mouth"-which means to exaggerate the direness of one's situation in order to gain time or favour from creditors.

WW - Narcissus
This week's entry for the Tuesday and Wednesday edition of Wordless Wednesday.
ohhh love this! wonder how you shot this.I would love to give this a try.The color yellow really pops out with the dark background.;) happy WW! Life’s Impression
THanks everyone. Shelia, these flowers are from our garden. I would like to say it's beautifull laid out but the reality is that it's small and scruffy (we like it scruffy though!)
Lovely shot. The black background really sets it off. They seem to be flowering earlier every year. We have had some out since the end of January but then, SW England is very mild usually.
i used to live on a street named narcissus, i thought it was named after the greek myth character. LOL come to think of it all the streets in that village were named carnation, magnolia etc. hahahah. thanks for educating me. stay cool!

Ours aren't out yet but the ones planted by the council on the grass near the sea front are. They are beautiful to see. Just like Wordsworth's host.
