The title of this blog comes from a Gaelic expression -"putting on the poor mouth"-which means to exaggerate the direness of one's situation in order to gain time or favour from creditors.
I wonder what the flower would look like. Happy WW!

Wow, looks like a furry artichoke!
oh wow ... this is gorgeous!
For some reason it reminds me of a goose head. Perhaps the thin stem, large head, and scraggly feather-like hair do that.Happy WW for the week!BTW, you blog has something really slow for my computer to open. For a while it had gotten better, but now is worse again. Instead of seconds, it was minutes, almost five...
Absolutely gorgeous. Love it!
I'm waiting for that flower, too, to see what it looks like. Love that fur. Almost like pussywillow fur.

What a fascinating looking bud and a wonderful photo of it. Hope you will share the "finished product" when it blossoms.
Outstanding photo. Is this a later shot of the one several posts down the page? Or is it a different individual at a later stage? In either case, it's terrific.Bobbie

WOW-awesome shot! It looks so stark against the black background. Lovely. I had to look up what Cephalaria was, though--I'm not much of a flower buff--and it will be beautiful when it blooms, too! Happy WW!
