The title of this blog comes from a Gaelic expression -"putting on the poor mouth"-which means to exaggerate the direness of one's situation in order to gain time or favour from creditors.

Thank heaven for YouTube, now we can all hear these gems from long ago as people resurrect them and put them up.
I think the publication of this sort of archive material is the real glory of youtube.
Thanks for this. I love Sylvia Plath's poetry, however chilling it is sometimes. What a loss, her death -- and what a find this is on YouTube!
