The title of this blog comes from a Gaelic expression -"putting on the poor mouth"-which means to exaggerate the direness of one's situation in order to gain time or favour from creditors.

WW - Smile
This week's entry for the Tuesday and Wednesday editions of Wordless Wednesday.
I like the "earthy" look of this shot. Instead of rose petals, she's standing amid dead leaves. Hmmmmm. Not a harbinger for her marriage, I trust! Really, there's a story here. I'm curious, too. Sorry... ~~~Blessings~~~

So sweet! She does make me smile. :)
It's the smile that draws your attention! I love the simple dress, too. Great portrait, Jams. Is she Mrs. Jams? :)
Lovely young lady.
I love the use of the sepia tone, it sets off the dress and the background, which are the stars, next to the bride of course!

What a beautiful bride. I hope I don't offend anyone by saying the photo has a 1970s feel to it.
Is that Langtons? ;-)
The natural smiles are the best :-D
Thanks everyone. THis one was taken near Wilmslow Chris!
All will be revealed next WW or the one after!
A very pretty black and white photo. Happy WW and Happy Thanksgiving!

The dress is quite startling against the soft background. Nice! :)
What a classic shot! A beautiful and bright smile. :)
Thanks for visiting, and yes the photo is of my Father. The man on right is supposedly Houdini. Don't think I have a way of verifying that. :)
Wow! Thanks for letting me know Eaton
Simply beautiful :)
