The title of this blog comes from a Gaelic expression -"putting on the poor mouth"-which means to exaggerate the direness of one's situation in order to gain time or favour from creditors.

WW - A heart full of leaves
A deatail from a tomb in the Pere Lachaise cemetery. This week's entry for the Tuesday and Wednesday editions of Wordless Wednesday.
Reminds me when I was there, even twice. Very special cemetary ! Have you seen Jim Morrison's grave ? Now it's protected 20 years ago there were junkies sitting all around and the grave was full with spoons, seringhes etc. Just terrible !

They use bright colours, it's unusual.
We would use mourning colours like black and white.

I'm so intrigues by some of the stained window artistic interpretation. Are those flying heads? Happy WW
Really rich, saturated colors.
Hope you're getting along better by now.
Thought it was a church window; very colorful for a cemetery. Happy WW.

Thanks everyone. Gattina I saw Jim Morrison's grave. I concluded that the graffiti on the Oscar Wilde grave was of a better class!
I love the colors, they are so vibrant and pretty.
Jams, I hadn't thought of stained glass window in a cemetery. This one is lovely all that colour. There are leaves in the chest...haha! :))
