The title of this blog comes from a Gaelic expression -"putting on the poor mouth"-which means to exaggerate the direness of one's situation in order to gain time or favour from creditors.
Och, Jams, there are so many ghosts around, these days. Is it the German war minister, explaining that two bombs - each weighing 500 pounds (!) - had to be launched against two stolen road tankers, in order to defend Germany at the Hindukush?

I give up...
Maybe it's Caspar.
Actually it is a detail from a memorial to the blind in Pere Lachaise
Looks like me first thing in the morn:)
A memorial to the blind.
And my first thought was a KKK member in the fog.
Was it a real one though?
I am glad I don't have to see you Angus!
Oh dear Snoopy, the face is a bit dark though!
Absolutely real James!
Not too sure I would enjoy seeing a ghost in a cemetery. But as you explain it, I understand the shadowy presentation.
Me neither Claudia. Pere Lachaise would be a spooky place!
Just my cup of tea, Jams!
