The title of this blog comes from a Gaelic expression -"putting on the poor mouth"-which means to exaggerate the direness of one's situation in order to gain time or favour from creditors.

Jams, What is the story on the second to the last? It reminds me of Felix the Cat.
AH It is a detail from the grave of Persian writer Sadegh Hedayat in Pere Lachaise cemetery in Paris.He is most famous for his symbolist novel the Blind Owl, hence the blind owl detail on his grave
Excellent. It has a terrestrial feel to me.
