Ted by fire in infra red

Just been playing with a cheap second hand Nikon D50 with Infra Red filter (cuts out all but IR light).

IR photography is virtually impossible with my newer cameras.

Aaaaah...I wish I had a fireplace, and could stretch, in front of it, like Ted. I'm afraid some of my old bones would crack....

The word ver. is glizeso!!

I would think that infrared was Ted's natural milieu ...

Neat experiment:

Use a CD/DVD like a diffraction grating to project the spectrum of sunlight onto a table. (Not a prism, because its glass may block part of the spectrum. Do this outdoors).
Lay matchsticks as markers at the reddest & bluest colours you can see.
Take a photo. Colours will go outside the matchsticks.
Inspect photo to see how much IR and UV the camera can see :-)

Finally a worthy subject for a portrait. Be careful near the fire as Tuxedo cats are fond of Roast accountant.
