The title of this blog comes from a Gaelic expression -"putting on the poor mouth"-which means to exaggerate the direness of one's situation in order to gain time or favour from creditors.
Aaaaah...I wish I had a fireplace, and could stretch, in front of it, like Ted. I'm afraid some of my old bones would crack....The word ver. is glizeso!!
I would think that infrared was Ted's natural milieu ...
Neat experiment:Use a CD/DVD like a diffraction grating to project the spectrum of sunlight onto a table. (Not a prism, because its glass may block part of the spectrum. Do this outdoors).Lay matchsticks as markers at the reddest & bluest colours you can see.Take a photo. Colours will go outside the matchsticks.Inspect photo to see how much IR and UV the camera can see :-)
Finally a worthy subject for a portrait. Be careful near the fire as Tuxedo cats are fond of Roast accountant.
Aw, that's so atmospheric.
It's nie to stretch out in front of it but the cats won't let us CLaude! It reminds him fondly of his real home at Satan's right hand Bryan!Haha that's true Beak! Thanks James
