The title of this blog comes from a Gaelic expression -"putting on the poor mouth"-which means to exaggerate the direness of one's situation in order to gain time or favour from creditors.
Great photo, Jams. What a lovely creature. I was out in the countryside last weekend, and enjoyed meeting some very big spiders in the bathroom and garden. Hard to get this close to them without a camera, though!

Did it knock at your door for a free photo offer? I ain't going at your studio if I have to sit next to it in the waiting room.

He doesn't look tiny and inoffensive to me
Aww Nursie compared to the fauna you have Down Under Crabbie is just a little lamb!

Wow, that was a cool macro! These eyes and all... good job!
Thanks SE, Snoopy. I love my crab spiders. I must admit that the photo is quite heavily cropped
