The title of this blog comes from a Gaelic expression -"putting on the poor mouth"-which means to exaggerate the direness of one's situation in order to gain time or favour from creditors.
A brick is a good deal more useful than a blanket, and provides a great deal more security. I mean, throwing a blanket at an intruder isn't going to be much of a deterrent, and you can't really express the inner anarchism of cats with a 'blankie'.

Very practical cat, Lexi, and cute.
That is a very unusual pet ;-)
Nice black-and-white photo of Lexi. And the brick makes for a great contrast :)
