The title of this blog comes from a Gaelic expression -"putting on the poor mouth"-which means to exaggerate the direness of one's situation in order to gain time or favour from creditors.
I was lucky enough to experience him in performance at a wonderful club in Providence before we moved west. I think he was a great example: Taste every sandwich.
Love Warren Zevon. Never saw him perform, that I recall. I love that song about living alone in the desert just like Georgia O'Keeffe. I'm not sure if he'd conquered his alcoholism in the last years of his life.

He was a great Sphinx. Not sure about his alcoholism. I daresay other events took precedence, sadly
