The title of this blog comes from a Gaelic expression -"putting on the poor mouth"-which means to exaggerate the direness of one's situation in order to gain time or favour from creditors.

The external HDD will return, I hope Jams, perhaps with some free or much cheaper than commercial aid from a kindly enthusiast if such could be found. A local university or college computing dept? There may be people I could ask up here, esp. in St Andrews & Edinburgh and an academic chap in Paris, but that's all a long way from you. Have you asked around on relevant internet forums frequented by amateur enthusiasts?

Running out of models? Or film?
No shoots planned for a little while and I've more or less worked or reworked the photos I still have after the loss of my external HDD

Now checking the forums would e a good idea. the commercial costs I simply cannot afford at present
