The title of this blog comes from a Gaelic expression -"putting on the poor mouth"-which means to exaggerate the direness of one's situation in order to gain time or favour from creditors.
A very distinctive wide nose on him, and eyes that look almost as sad and weary as mine do, on occasion. I hope he is at peace rather than in distress. He rather has that face on that I do when someone young then shouts at me, 'for goodness sake cheer up a bit will you?'
