The title of this blog comes from a Gaelic expression -"putting on the poor mouth"-which means to exaggerate the direness of one's situation in order to gain time or favour from creditors.
Oh, to be 31 again... oh, wait, I may as well wish to be 16 again, except I'm not sure I was ever 16 the first time around...
1979 was not a great year for me. In 1978, I spent a summer teaching in a musical institute in Graz. It would have been hard to like any year that followed that one. Thanks for showing me a sample of what I missed.
That must have been a great experience Steve. I can well believe that what folowed was an anti climax.
1979 was about the time I became a music fan so to speak. It was the year of my forst concert (Hawkwind). Otherwise it was lots of school exams and teenage angst!
