Photo Hunt - Water (Quiet Flows the Rom I)

The theme for this week's Photo Hunt is Water. This is the local river, the River Rom. Just before it joins the River Ravensbourne to form the River Beam it is let out of its culverts and allowed to be a proper river again. Okay it's not much of a river but it is Romford's river!

I agree with Carver your photo does look like a painting! Very nice, and is that fish I see in the water? Looks like Koi, but could be leaves maybe?

Have a great weekend!

Oooo.... a nice river where one can go exploring along it. Any crocodiles lurking in it?

It almost looks like a scene from a storybook -- like we are just waiting to see who is going to emerge from behind the trees. Lovely!

Looks like a wonderful, serene place to be...almost what we call a lagoon.

My 'water' theme this week is a road trip along the coastline of South Texas...ending at an historical mansion. Come by for a visit if you can!! Lots of pictures this time...hope you'll enjoy the history.

Hi jams --

Didn't realize you were Romford based. For some reason, thought you lived in Ireland! Anyways, about the only things I know about Romford is that it's in England and Ray Parlour's from there... ;b

Hi jams! Thats a creative shot. I had to look at it clearly to see the water.

What a wonderfully peaceful picture ... and I can hear the cadence of the water flowing down so peacefully .

Really appreciated your comments on my post . Thanks :)

Ah, a river runs through it. Well, not really a river. Maybe a creek runs through it? Well, not really a creek. A spit stream runs through it? Yeah. Runoff from a spitting contest. :)

Houston is the Bayou City. It lives up to its name. We have polluted bayous circling all through the city. That's pretty much our only body of water outside the Wall Of Water monument.

jams o donnell said...

It's hardly a mighty torrent EWBL but it's Romford's river. Ah the Bayous. I only saw a pic of the Wall of Water for teh first time this photo hunt.

i hardly any shots of river or beach, so i ended up posting up on my experience at the fish spa :P
