The title of this blog comes from a Gaelic expression -"putting on the poor mouth"-which means to exaggerate the direness of one's situation in order to gain time or favour from creditors.
The architectural of the British museum is pretty amazing :)A Happy 2009 to you Jams!!
How's Mimi surviving?
She's doing very well James, she falls over a lot but she is a happy cat
I still love that last photograph :-)
That shot of Mimi is priceless! And I remember the crab spider -- fascinating shot, that one!
Magnificent photos and great choices. :-)Have a good 2009 Jams.
Lovely. I was going to vote for the spider and the teasel but I can't overlook the not-wife and Robyn, I 'm not that much of a cad I hope.Wishing you and yours a splendiferous 2009 from me and mine.
Love the top photo. Happy New Year!
Great shots...I always love the black and white pics. Happy WW:)

All are great shots. I love the teasel and crab spider for geometric effect the best.Happy New Year Man. I'll toast to you, 6pm my time. Isn't it midnight for you around that time?
very interesting shots. i'd love to visit oscar wilde's tomb and leave a kiss as well.:D
Nice collection... and all new to me since I haven't participated in a while. Please stop by if you get a chance! Happy New Year all!
That British Museum one is still a favorite of mine, I love the way you've emphasized the geometric lines and created almost a sense of movement. Are those lipstick kisses on Oscar Wilde's grave? I remember being so shocked when I went to Jim Morrison's grave at Pere Lachaise, all that graffiti. Still, the "personal" touches for each of them are fitting in their own way. Less anonymous.
Happy New Year, Jams.
like the spirals of the museum pic playing tricks on the eyes. happy 2009!
I like all your photos this week. The not wife and Robyn is lovely, but my favorite is the British Museum...stunning. Happy New Year! :)
