The title of this blog comes from a Gaelic expression -"putting on the poor mouth"-which means to exaggerate the direness of one's situation in order to gain time or favour from creditors.

Mimi as drowned rat
Mimi, being unsteady on her fet can often fall over during her toilet duties. As a result she needs the odd shower. This week's entry for the Friday Ark and Carnival of the Cats
Poor thing. That reminds me of when we have to bathe our blind kitty. She doesn't bathe very well because she can't see so once a month I give her a bath.
I've never met or heard of a cat who would tolerate a hair dryer. Those times when one simply must bathe them call for a nice warm fire or a lot of towels (and a great deal of patience) afterward.
