The title of this blog comes from a Gaelic expression -"putting on the poor mouth"-which means to exaggerate the direness of one's situation in order to gain time or favour from creditors.
Ooh dunno if my comment has gone now cos had to sign up again. Anyhoo most excellent photos and was saying would love to paint it. Beautiful work Jams and you know I feel you should go pro. You are well good enough and of an artistic soul that's for damn sure.

Jams, You are a MASTER!
Great picture. I like how clear the water droplets are.
And there is no way I would have recognized that as a California poppy :)
That's even more impressive; reminds me of a wizard's hat.
When will the book be published? Your collection is at a point, where a book with a theme could printed.
Thanks everyone!
Peerhaps I will Ren
great textures
This is even better than the coloured version. Superb Jams. If this was entered in the Monochrome Weekend it would be showcased on the Wall!
I love the texture on this one :-)
The cone effect - yes.
Why thank you all
Beautiful. Some of the bubbles look like planets and moons. I'm with Renegade Eye.
Thanks Stan, I should get my finger out
I like this a lot too. The tones are wonderful; even greater luminous detail in the raindrops; same tantalizing ambiguity! Good job well done.
Thankyou SE. I am very pleased with this photo. I'm so glad you like it as much as I do
