The title of this blog comes from a Gaelic expression -"putting on the poor mouth"-which means to exaggerate the direness of one's situation in order to gain time or favour from creditors.
Me too. Had to go visit favorite quotes and could hardly choose one but one of my favorite scenes is still the one with Pontius Pilate:
Pontius Pilate: What about you? Do you find it... wisible... when I say the name... 'Biggus'... [chuckle] Pontius Pilate: ... Dickus? [both guards chuckle] Pontius Pilate: He has a wife, you know. You know what she's called? She's called... 'Incontinentia'... Incontinentia Buttocks Pontius Pilate: [Guards are laughing] Stop! What is all this? Pontius Pilate: [Laughing continues] I've had enough of this wowdy webel sniggewing behaviour. Silence! Call yourselves Pwaetowian guards? You're not - Seize him! Seize him! Blow your noses and seize him!
'Always Look on the Bright Side' can still bring tears to my eyes every time.

So funny. A great film.

He's not the Messiah, he's a very naughty boy.... It truly is Monty Python's Sistine Chapel!
