The title of this blog comes from a Gaelic expression -"putting on the poor mouth"-which means to exaggerate the direness of one's situation in order to gain time or favour from creditors.
Where you in London, at the Queen Elizabeth Hall, on January 29, 2008, Jams?
Daniel Barenboim was playing Beethoven's Sonatas right next to Robyn. Both audiences were ecstatic. To each its own...
Satellite might be a bit difficult to a first time listener. Quite far out sexy lyrics. The music got rhythm...What I like is it doesn't bang bang like some other bands. But then, you offered Robyn a few times before. And I enjoy hearing an artist more than once.

Levitating satellite?
or just one falling, but not to earth too quickly!
Goodness that sounds awful. An almost one note shouty voice (though the music that the voice was ruining sounds ok). People have different tastes eh?.
Apologies. I was wrong. I listened again and decided that the music was pretty awful too :)
Bah Andrew!
Hahaha! Some people said Ravel's Boléro was awful when it was first heard. Actually, some people still say it's awful.

I was there Claude and a fine concert it was.. Robyn that is. I am sure that the Barenboim concert was superb too
Robyn is an acquired taste. Those who know him either love him or hate him. I am in the former camp!
