The title of this blog comes from a Gaelic expression -"putting on the poor mouth"-which means to exaggerate the direness of one's situation in order to gain time or favour from creditors.
That K.D. Lang song did nothing for me. A bite tuneless and awkward, I thought. On that evidence I'd prefer to listen to Celine. Am I going to get excommunicated from The Poor Mouth now? (or have Other Nephew set upon me with his hammer?)
