Mary in Newquay

Caroline and Stephen Gray were walking along the coastline near Newquay when they stopped to pose for a series of holiday snaps. But Caroline, 38, was speechless when the couple returned home and studied the digital camera to spot a clear image of the Virgin Mary, which she insists was not present when she took the picture.

She said: ''There was nothing on the screen when I took the original photograph. Then when we got home the image of the Virgin Mary had appeared. ''There was absolutely nobody else on the beach at the time, which makes this all the more intriguing.
''It looks like a pregnant woman and she appears to be holding a lamp. It certainly looks like the Virgin Mary. ''I don't know if it would still be visible if you went there to see it, but I'm sure that won't stop people from trying.''

After a spate of non-religious simulacra it’s good to see a BVM appearance again

Of who? With those big almond-shaped eyes set in a small head (if I'm seeing what you're seeing) it looks more like an (alleged) alien Grey to me). Although discussed here before it never ceases to amaze me why an appearance like a woman in a robe has got be be the virgin Mary and a guy with long hair and a beard has got to be Jesus. Stunning stupidity (but then that is humanity's specialty - just ask the Greys)

As I said before, I wish people would let Mary rest in Heaven. She deserves peace. I can assure you that believers are not all crazy. Or would I be your devoted fan?

It is pretty ghostly isn't it Cheroe

Haha Claude. I could appear on toasted sandwiches if needs be!

And spotted by "Caroline and Stephen Gray" while out walking eh? Mr and Mrs Gray. Or brother and sister Gray? Or the twin budded cloned Grays? It all makes sense now.

Gray? Damn they forgot we don't use American English. That was careless of them

I wouldn't feel at all confident identifying someone at that distance. Especially someone I'd never met. And who hasn't been around for 2000-odd years.

Now that's a good point Stan!
