Abutilon megapotanicum


This week's entry for the Tuesday and Wednesday edition of Wordless Wednesday is the flower of Abutilon megapotamicum, a native Brazilian which is a popular plant in subtropical gardens and a garden in Romford

It's not a Bleeding heart is it? No, that's Dicentra - the name just poped into my head! But it's similar. Fabulous photo.

It's common name around here is Flowering Maple. I actually overwintered this plant inside last winter. It grew to about 5 feet tall this year.

Nice shot, jams. I had a lot of trouble trying to get a picture of the flower.
