The title of this blog comes from a Gaelic expression -"putting on the poor mouth"-which means to exaggerate the direness of one's situation in order to gain time or favour from creditors.
Wow. jams, you are educating me in the music of our own time. Back in the Eighties, when I was a grad student in music at UH, I drove to classes with the radio on a local rock station, and never heard anything like that. I often felt I needed to clean the car out after the boring crap they played on that station... and all the time, somewhere out there, good bands were creating good stuff. Thank you for making me aware of it.
THere was plenty of good stuff but radio everywhere mainly plays the softer, more popular option. KJ could be patchy but at their best they were one of the best bands of my early 20s (and before and after!)
They are indeed Alison but the bassist died just a couple of weeks ago.

Blimey,
Feel like a dizzy teenager in 'adorations'.
Love it.

Ah the Eighties, a time when the USA and USSR were doing the War Dance. Life was full of Complications!
