I can't believe this flower was blooming like that on Christmas!
This hebe is so pretty. I did a fifteen minute search here and I don't think they grow many in Texas. We do have some climate similar to New Zealand.I also like your flower and insect pictures. I arrived back from LA and it is about 30 degrees warmer than NYC. It is strange seeing Palm Trees when the temps get around 40.

That's beautiful. One of my rose bushes has flowered right through the winter, and still has a few flowers and lots of buds, and one Azalea has just started flowering. Crazy seasons!!
