Ted in a box

Of all our cats, Ted is the box fetishist. The box in question was for a pair oftrainers the not-wife bought and she is a size 4 (or 5 in the US) This week's entry for Friday Ark and Carnival of the Cats.

Thanks, Ted is a handsome fellow but with a bit of a bad attitude

Ted - a black and white study in evil, over-night delivery not guaranteed.

Oh, but he is beautiful. I wish I could fit my fingertips just between his ears and skritch.

Better Ted in the box than a Jack-in-the-box... though they're probably equally frightening when they suddenly emerge.

What is it with cats and boxes? Hehe. Puddy had a favourite box but then she started biting the edges off it, so I threw it out. She now has a new shoe box. No matter how small, she always tries to lie down in them - it's so cute! :D

Oh Ted in a Box is a fearsome beast Steve, no doubt about that!

It's so sweet to see cats adopt tine boxes. It's not just boxes. I have a photo somewhere of Ted curled up in an empty fruitbowl!

Break out the packaging tape and sent that kitty to Houston!

I'm a perfect 10, jams. The not wife must be dainty and have some really petite feet. Even my 11 and 12 year old daughters wear a size 71/2 and 81/2 shoe.

Ooh be careful EWBL, he'll be punching Reagan's lights out and eating the neighbour's hamster (he HAS done that!)

The not-wife is petite. She's a US size 4 or 6, 5 foot 1 and about 105lbs// I don't like wighing more than twice she does....

This almost brought tears to my cynical old eyes, in a nice(ish) way, because it brings back so many memories of our dear departed cat Smokey (pure white) who would squeeze, or try to squeeze into any box left lying. She'd make do with big ones too, at a push, but seemed happiest in ones where she was threatening to split the sides. Thanks for the memory. We are catless now (too much bother, on balance, but it's a fine balance, until I remember all the scraping at the door to get in, then scraping at the door to get out, then in, then the aging years of incontinence, the... etc, etc...) but she was lovely, for most of her 15 years or so. Thanks for the memory
