The title of this blog comes from a Gaelic expression -"putting on the poor mouth"-which means to exaggerate the direness of one's situation in order to gain time or favour from creditors.

Dave Dee RIP
The Legend of Xanadu - Dave Dee, Dozy, Beaky, Mick and Titch
They were well on a par with other British artistes and had more weeks on the charts than the Beatles between 1965 and 1969. They were different to other British artistes but well on a par with most.
The likes of Slade & Sweet came around in the 70's as a result of DDDBM&T's influence.
