The title of this blog comes from a Gaelic expression -"putting on the poor mouth"-which means to exaggerate the direness of one's situation in order to gain time or favour from creditors.
He was a wonderful actor and, from what I've read, a really good person. The Prisoner was one of the most creative television programs that I ever watched and I thoroughly enjoyed his other roles on television and film as well. May a gracious God be good to him.

But he WAS a number -- Number 1 to all of us who loved him.

THe Prisoner was truly one of the greatest shows ever broadcast on tv. wjat a legacy McGoohan leaves!
I always enjoyed watching him. I suppose that's a mark of a good actor.
Agreed Dragonstar. I was too young for Danger Man but his acting in teh Prisoner was excellent
