Amazing!
I have long been amazed by stories of Egypt and probably seeing this statue is next to being in Egypt.

Happy new year to you and yours, Jam :)

It's sick, I know, but when I saw your photo all I could think of is Steve Martin singing King Tut. Sorry!

I wasn't thinking Egyptian when I saw it. Looked a little more Rasputin-ish to me!

Cool photo though!

There are so many treasures at the British Museum, it is overwhelming! I spend 6 hours there one day, and feel as though I didn't even scratch the surface! :o

Looking cool and will be lovely to visit the museum with all those artifacts to view.

I think I know why museums are closed in the evenings...those artifacts look a little eerie.

Spooky. Very cool, but spooky. In college I studie Eqyptian life for one semester. Their death was more interested than their lives in my opinion. Their beliefs and how they handled the bodies of different classes of people. Anyway, very cool picture. Happy WW!

I am a huge fan of ancient Egyptian art, but I have to say that (as with artifacts like the Elgin marbles) I would prefer to see them in their country of origin.

Happy New Year, Jams.

My mom went to ramsey exhibit when I was younger. I always looked at her books and wanted to go. This is a great shot.

He is one very old dude! Surprised
Egypt hasn't asked for him and all his buddies back. We have a memorable collection of Egyptian artifacts in Melbourne, including at least one mummy. :)

he is awfully quiet. :X

egyptian artifacts never lose their aura of enigma.. even after all these years... in your photo, the dark mystery still surrounds them --- literally and figuratively:)

I was fortunate enough to get to go to Egypt and Israel a few years ago and we visited several museums in both countries... the mummies at the Egyptian sites were fascinating! Thanks for sharing and happy WW!
