The title of this blog comes from a Gaelic expression -"putting on the poor mouth"-which means to exaggerate the direness of one's situation in order to gain time or favour from creditors.

A Trilobite Haiku
Graceful Trilobite
denizen of ancient seas
Only stones remain
If you can create a worse haiku on the subject of trilobites I would love to see them!

Once you were full of
life and now you're a paper
weight - poor Trilobite
Paleozoic,
my heart cries for your critters.
Today, we all stink!
Bravo!
Can't do Haiku
Keep forgettin' the rules
Trilobites were persistent types
But couldn't make or use our tools.
It may not be a haiku but it is a fine piece H
The are such pretty stones :-)
They certainly are!
