The title of this blog comes from a Gaelic expression -"putting on the poor mouth"-which means to exaggerate the direness of one's situation in order to gain time or favour from creditors.
Boris is priceless! I LOVE other people's cats! ;-) I owned a total of five cats and once lived with a cat woman who owned ten or more. There was a time when there was a six kitten litter, though all but one were given away.They were what I call "all-over" cats - outside, inside, all over anything and everything. Toooooooo many cats!

Boris only looks ready to spring into action to people who don't live with cats. That is the posture of a cat preparing for serious sleep after a test nap to be sure he's ready. It's a lot like a long distance runner stretching before the start of the real race.

That is true Bryan. He hardly sprang into action afterwards! But then Boris would be described lazy by other cats!
